PLZ HELP

OpenStudy (noname):

do you need help?

OpenStudy (asad786):

YES

OpenStudy (noname):

I think it's either B or C

OpenStudy (nelsonjedi):

Which number represents your y intercept?

OpenStudy (asad786):

2

OpenStudy (asad786):

@nelsonjedi

OpenStudy (asad786):

hello plz help someone

myininaya (myininaya):

y=mx+b is slope-intercept form where m is slope and b is y-intercept

myininaya (myininaya):

all of the equations you gave are in this y=mx+b form but none of the b's are 2's

myininaya (myininaya):

i see line t is graphed and line w is something else that is not graphed

myininaya (myininaya):

so we can eliminate two choices right now based on the y-intercept information you gave

myininaya (myininaya):

you said the y-intercept is 2 which of the equations in the choices have a y-intercept that is lower than 2

OpenStudy (asad786):

i think its c

OpenStudy (asad786):

@myininaya

OpenStudy (radar):

To be honest, I don't see a correct answer! Here is my reasoning. Slope is change in Y divided by change in X Looking at the graph it appears (between the points (0, 2) and (5, 0), the change in y is -2 and the change in x is 5 thus the slope is -2/5 or -.4, and I don't see it.

OpenStudy (asad786):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (asad786):

is it c?

myininaya (myininaya):

did you pick the two equations that have a lower y-intercept than 2 yet from your choices @Asad786 ?

myininaya (myininaya):

after you do that you will compare the slopes

myininaya (myininaya):

the equation of the line whose slope has an absolute value bigger than |-2/5|=2/5 will be your answer after you determine the equations whose y-intercepts are lower than 2

OpenStudy (radar):

Sorry, I did not see that we are dealing with another line lol.
