okay. well, there is an acronym called SOHCAHTOA and it refers to which parts of the triangle are used in each trigonometric function. Sine: Opposite over Hypotenuse Cosine: Adjacent over Hypotenuse Tangent: Opposite over Adjacent these are if you want to find the angle \(\theta\); the sides are relevant to the angle
