#1 The graph shows a journey in a car. Which of the statements most likely describes the journey at the portion of the graph labeled K? The car travels the same distance per unit of time because the portion shows a linear, increasing function. The car travels different distances per unit of time because the portion shows a linear, increasing function. The car travels different distances per unit of time because the portion shows a nonlinear, increasing function. OpenStudy (tkhunny):

"K" looks like: 1) We are getting closer to our destination. 2) The kids in the back need to go to the bathroom. 3) We keep going faster and faster. 4) Finally we make it and we spend "L" at the place where we were going.

OpenStudy (pupflower):

It would be a linear so is it The car travels different distances per unit of time because the portion shows a linear, increasing function.?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

I and M are linear. K and O are not linear. K is increasing in speed. (the same-size horizontal interval moves more vertically as we go along) O is decreasing in speed. (the same-size horizontal interval moves less vertically as we go along) J, L, and N seem to be stop-overs. We were going somewhere and this is how much time we spent, there.
