Ok, this is physics question that I keep getting wrong. Help please! A 1.57-gram airplane is attached to a string with a length of 1.32 meters. The plane flies in a circle in which the string is declined at an angle (Theta) of 31.7 degrees below the horizontal. At what speed (in m/s) is the plane flying?

OpenStudy (steve816):

1.57 gram = 0.00157 kg

OpenStudy (steve816):

I keep getting the answer of 4.962, but it's wrong :(

OpenStudy (daniyil_the_spy):

the system can be wrong u know just let the teacher know.

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

Is it 4.22 m/s? When I use this method as a guide, I get 4.22 m/s https://brainmass.com/file/51097/60614.doc

OpenStudy (daniyil_the_spy):

@steve816

OpenStudy (steve816):
