OpenStudy (mlparks13):

Solve for x: 3x − 2 > 5x + 10.

OpenStudy (danjs):

Same as solving for an equality, except here if you divide or multiply by a negative number, you have to change the direction of the equality

OpenStudy (mlparks13):

thanks

OpenStudy (mlparks13):

here are the answer choices x > 6 x < 6 x < −6 x > −6

OpenStudy (danjs):

yeah, move everything around like you would with an equality, take 3x off both sides, then take 10 off both sides 3x − 2 > 5x + 10 -12 > 2x -6 > x thats it
