OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

Find the inverse of the function P(t)= 6t + 8

OpenStudy (welshfella):

you need to find t in terms of f(t)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Or, in the States i think its 'Solve for t'.

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

So I just set it equal to t? I'm confused

Nnesha (nnesha):

we can rewrite p(t) =y so y=6t+8 switch t and y and then solve for y

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

Oh that's all? I'll do that real quick. Sorry if I don't respond for a bit, I'm in class lol.

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

Will the number come out as a fraction? I got y-8 over 6 = t

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[t=6t+8\] this is the original equation switch y and t\[t=6y+8\] now solve for y

Nnesha (nnesha):

it's okay if you get fraction. fractions aren't scary
