I'd suggest you eliminate the two sets of parentheses. You can simiply drop the 1st set. Because you have a - sign in front of the 2nd set of parentheses, you need to distribute the negation: - ( ) becomes (-1/9)x + (5/9). All clear so far?

Now combine the x terms, and then combine the fractions (the ones that don't have x in them). What would you do to combine (1/2)x and (-1/9)x?
Hint: What does "LCD" represent? What is the "LCD" here?
