OpenStudy (dianac03):

Hi this is for anyone who wants to answer. In innovation class we have to innovate something. So I want to know anything you guys have trouble with, any product that would help you. I need some Ideas of things that are difficult to do because there isn't something to help us do them.

OpenStudy (sooobored):

innovation is hard, and sometimes it is pure concidence it requires IMAGINATION or the most unlikely combination try solving the age old problem can you build a better mouse trap?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

honestly, most innovation these days are just changes to designs of already prefectly functioning items. and while this makes the product more "useable" it would be a stretch to consider it "innovative" in the opinion of a few. how about making a silent vaccuum cleaner, or a tractor beam

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

^ precisely! I just did this last semester in my product innovation class, 3 engineers teamed with 3 business majors. Out of the 20 projects, in 12 teams...17 were just modifications of current products that would make them "more useful" We each had to come up with 3 ideas for products that we would be developing over the course of the semester. In your life, you cant think of ANYTHING that "bugs" you? Anything that you wish could be easier/faster/quieter/more efficient etc...?

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

Sounds like a class I am taking spring quarter. I find innovation easier than creating something new from scratch, like the class I took fall term. @johnweldon1993 that class sounds interesting. It's neat you get to work with another major, other than engineering.
