The absolute value of zero is zero. The absolute value of a positive number is just the positive number. The absolute value of a negative number is just the number with out the sign. An absolute value is never negative. Examples: |0| = 0 |9| = 9 |1.5| = 1.5 |-4| = 4 |-22| = 22
