ihave 4 more

OpenStudy (welshfella):

you can do this by solving the equations by the elimination method. Can you do that?

OpenStudy (joshiscool):

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh IDK

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Well you could also plug the given values of x and y into the 2 equations and see which one fits

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Note the ordered pair (-3,-2) means that x = -3 when y = -2. Plug these into the 2 equations and see if they fit.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

So take 2x + y = -8:- x = -3 and y = -2 2(-3) + -2 = -6 - 2 = -8 Thats fits fine. Now try the second equation x - y = -4 -3 - -2 = -3+2 = -1 That does NOT fit so the answer is not (-3, -2)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Do you understand?
