Essay on computer engineering and why you would chose this major

Well, why would you choose such a major? What drives you to pursue this type of career?

You could approach this either subjectively or objectively. Meaning, you can either write why YOU like it (aspirations, dreams, things that fascinate you personally), or you can write about the importance of engineering for society and science in general, i.e. the value of computer science and why more people should follow that major. Sometimes, a simple "cuz I like computahs" will suffice (although a bit more eloquently put   than that).

P.S. Why is this a major? In my country it's an undergraduate degree. I'm interested in learning about other countries' "science paths" so to speak.

I meant computer engineering. Also I'm studying electrical and computer eng. for my first degree (freshman)

It's actually part of the core courses for the first semester :). As well as single variable calculus, Newtonian and relative mechanics and an introduction to circuits.

Although I think I want to major in modern physics, c.e. provides a good background on mathematics and electromagnetism, so I guess that's my essay :P
