What is the cost of four $1.99 value meals with a sales tax of 7%?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

tyler: Again, I ask whether you are taking notes from each previous post. Your new questions are heavily based upon your previous questions. How much would four $1.99 meals cost? Hint: multiply! What is 7% of that sum? Add to the cost of those four $1.99 meals the amount of tax you've calculated.

OpenStudy (leeanm):

8.51 i believe

OpenStudy (leeanm):

1.99*4 take that answer and multiply it by 7% then take that answer which should be 0.55 and add it the 1.99*4 and then you have the answer 8.51

OpenStudy (goginal):

you would times the product's price by four since you are ordering four of them so thats 1.99 times four which is 7.96$ then you would add the tax by multiplying $7.96 by 7% by doing 7.96$ times 0.07 which is .556 rounded up .56 and you add .56 to 7.96 which is 8.52 so your answer is $8.52
