I think Tom would have to pay $140 a month because 40% of 250 equals $140

Tyler, have you taken notes on our previous discussions? The same principles apply here. What is 40% of $350? Multiply $350 by 0.40. Must include proper unit of measurement with your answer;

Close to it. My mistake. Tom's employer pays 40% of the insurance premium. How much does Tom himself have to pay? You could either mult. $350 by 0.60 or subtract your $140 from $350. Tom pays: ?
