YoursTruly:

Which statement most accurately describes the foreign policy change made by the United States between the start of World War II (1939) and the attack on Pearl Harbor (1941)? A. War was declared on Germany, not on Japan. B. Financial aid was offered to both the Allied and Axis powers. C. The traditional isolationism of the United States was strengthened. D. The nation shifted from neutrality to military support for the Allies. I chose D. Am I right?

Marziman:

A is wrong because Germany declared war on the states after the pearl harbor attack, B is half true but that was mainly BEFORE pearl harbor because Britain and the states were friends, C is wrong because the US isn't isolated, nor was it ever promoting isolationism. In fact we tried to push Japan away from being isolated. D is correct because we attacked after pearl harbor and started supporting allies.

YoursTruly:

Thank you, my good man. *Bows respectfully and waddles away like a duck.*
