"You can choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know" Who said this quote and what was he referring to? Elaborate on how influential this man and his writings were on the slave trade and the work conditions during the Industrial Revolution. Make sure you explain what the quote means within your response. What I got so far: William Wilberforce said, "You can choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know." I believe he was referring to freedom. It needs to be a paragraph or more! Please!

AMQ:

sorry, googling won't give you the whole answer. @steve816

@trueangel12312 "Elaborate on how influential this man and his writings were on the slave trade and the work conditions during the Industrial Revolution." So it's basically telling you to talk about how persuasive he was when he wrote about the slave trade and the conditions of working in the Industrial Revolution. Have you read these writings yet?

trueangel12312:

I know I said that already steve

trueangel12312:

Yes I have @AMQ

trueangel12312:

I am not sure what to write tho

AMQ:

So you can talk about the big words he uses to persuade people to think the way he does. You don't have to jam all of it into one sentence, so you can make a paragraph pretty easily. Since it gives you two topics, you can create 2 sentences for each topic. So since you already have 2 sentences, that'll give you your paragraph.

trueangel12312:

I don't know what else to write tho x.x

trueangel12312:

I could put: The working conditions were absolutely horrible; they were beat many times. For 1 sentence

AMQ:

You can also talk about how he influenced people by writing about the horrible conditions of working were for people in the Industrial Revolution.

trueangel12312:

The working conditions in the Industrial Revolution were absolutely horrible; they were beat many times.

trueangel12312:

beaten*

AMQ:

@trueangel12312 That's a good start, but you need to talk about the author's descriptions. Understand?

trueangel12312:

How did they influence people...

trueangel12312:

No I don't

trueangel12312:

I just want to get this over with i have so much work to do

trueangel12312:

Please help me finish this! @AMQ

AMQ:

@trueangel12312 So what I mean is that you can't talk about it yourself. You have to talk about the author and talk about him. For example, you can say something like, "The author talks about the filthy conditions that people work in to persuade people greatly." Do you get it now?

trueangel12312:

Kind of...

trueangel12312:

Ugh I can't come up with anything

AMQ:

Read his writings again, and you'll get the ideas. It's pretty simple.

trueangel12312:

Can u maybe give me links to his writings?

AMQ:

I never read his writings. Where did you first read them?

trueangel12312:

I didn't read his writings I read about the slave trades and industrial revolution

trueangel12312:

..

AMQ:

those are his writings...

trueangel12312:

Wait so he was the only one that wrote about those?

AMQ:

Ugh....No. You're supposed to talk about what he wrote about the slave trade and industrial revolution working conditions.

trueangel12312:

Oh

trueangel12312:

trueangel12312:

trueangel12312:

http://prntscr.com/e2dhtn

trueangel12312:

Have you looked at all of those?

AMQ:

yes.

trueangel12312:

Should I use some of those facts in my assignment?

trueangel12312:

@AMQ

AMQ:

yes, that will be good
