Josef Stalin was pretty, well, dare I say it "autocratic". Germany was more or less (probably more) flattened/razed to the ground around about the time when "VE day" (Victory Europe) was declared. The new US president Truman authorised the Nuclear razing to the ground of Hiroshima and Nagasaki afterwards. I've added this stuff to give some background behind the tumultuous events occurring 1939-1945, and indeed, really, from either 1914 - 1945 or possible even 1900 - 1945.
