I believe we have to show the work also @220287
Start with simplifying both sides of the equation: \(a^2+3a+2=0\) and than factor left side of equation. \((a+1)(a+2)=0\)
From there set factors to \(\color{lime}{0}\) which would be \(a+1=0\) or \( a+2=0\)
And as @220287 said the answer, it would be correct, \(a=−1~ or~ a=−2.\) (:
