The major reason the United States became involved in the Korean War was the A. demand by the United States for Korean natural resources B. need to prevent war between China and the Soviet Union C. desire to limit Japanese expansion D. threat of communism spreading throughout Asia
I chose D. Am I correct?
I'd go for D also. Part of the "cold war" thinking and the US thing about communism. In the event, it seems that US lost the war, similarly with vietnam, but in the case of N Korea, that country became what is now probably called a "rogue state", allegedly having nuclear warheads to put on rockets when it can get the rockets to go far enough (icbm), and allegedly having stockpiles of "chemical nasties" as possibly recently demonstrated at Kualar Lumpur airport and the murder of a Kim-jong nam.
I also believe D. Is the best answer choice.
Hai der! If this question is answered, please close it. ^.^
