Flowering plants and shrubs are unable to grow in deciduous temperate rain forests. What is the possible reason for this phenomenon? Deciduous forests consist of tall coniferous trees with large canopies that do not allow sunlight to reach the ground and therefore prevent the growth of flowering plants and shrubs. Deciduous forests consist of deserts with dry and hot climates and allow only thorny plants to grow. Deciduous forests consist of broad–leafed trees with large canopies that do not allow sunlight to reach the ground and prevent growth of flowering plants and shrubs.
