the real question, maybe, is do you - having been freed from it - remain neutral about all this religious bullshi*t*. it is a really serious part of the human problem. religiosity is **the** barometer for primitiveness, stupidity, ignorance and intolerance; misplaced loyalty; yet religious peeps can be pretty nice too. tbc, no more nor more less than areligious people, but saddled, rather than blessed, with the curse of superstition.

philisophy de-bunked religion a long time ago. Aquinas was a genius of his time, but a teenager with a good training could nowadays run him into the ground. Hawking has kicked religion into its grave from the perspective of the only known truth (experiment -> science).

what's really sad is that public perception is that science has de-bunked philosophy. should be a core subject, IMHO.

so, yes, philosophy is awesome.

Time started at the big bang, before that there was no such thing. So we drop the time number-line and drop the idea of magic and God and superman and Zeus and magic and Harry Potter and even Hermione. Personal opinion, the science conclusion is awful but it follows experiment. But the Spinozan thing is utterly irresistible.
