How does Iago successfully make Othello believe him rather than Desdemona? Why are humans so easily susceptible to doubt what is real?
Iago makes Othello believe him rather than Desdemona, because he makes Othello think that Desdemona is having an affair with Michael Cassio. He gives visual evidence that makes Othello fall for his act. Othello believes the lies that Iago is telling about Desdemona. He is only doing it to break them up.Desdemona is not having an affair because she loves Othello to much. The first visual evidence is a dream that apparently Michael Cassio had and Iago was there to hear for himself. He was moaning Desdemona name and calling her his love saying he can't wish to be her when she leaves Othello, but I personally don't think that dream ever happened because Cassio isn't the affair kind of person. Iago is a liar and a and can't be trusted. Othello believes him over his wife and that isn't right. Othello stopped loving Desdemona over lies.Desdemona is not having an affair she loves Othello to much.
