you need to see data from previous surgeries that is the most effective method you need to get this data from organizations like the WHO,UN because they must have done research on things like this moreover even if they havent done them agencies like medicare who are bargaining for customers would also try to make such information avaiaible if it is a paper you should be able to site some examples of preventive surgeries like one i just saw now which is the prophylactic mastectomy which is the removal of both breast to prevent the spread of cancer as a paper first define preventive surgery which is surgery or operation conducted to prevent the spread of a disease within the individual and also to other individuals .
