Limiting Factor. Limiting factors are environmental conditions that limit the abundance, growth, or distribution of an organism and/or population of organisms in an ecosystem.
Basically it is a metaphorical wall that keeps the species in, and once this species' population grows to large for it's habitat, it will keep the population trapped and die off reducing their numbers. It is not a literal wall, this was an example.
