How do scholarships work? Do they actually give you money or is it in some different way? I mean like for example, if you get a $10,000 scholarship, do you actually get $10,000 you can put in your bank or do you get $10,000 worth of free education?

I think Khan Academy has a huge thing on those... Maybe try looking there? I'm sorry I can't help you more
They pay for your tuition and books and then whatever money yiu have left they will refund t
They give the money to the school first, but if you know how to work the system, you can get the school to give the money to you.
The best thing to do is let them pay for your classes so you don't have to worry about due dates. once you get the money you can buy books on your own.
