quickstudent:

Calculate the circumference of a circle with radius 5. 62.9 7.9 15.7 31.4

Elsa213:

I believe the correct answer is 31.4.

psirockin3:

Yep! Elsa's right :) I used this to check https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/geometry-plane/circle.php

Hero:

@Elsa213 Remember to give the asker the opportunity to figure out the answer himself first. In other words, the goal isn't to be the first person to answer the question. The goal is to get the user to figure out how to answer to the problem him or herself. As helpers, we merely act as GUIDES mostly.

Elsa213:

I will try, @Hero . c: Thank you. ^.^

Hero:

@Elsa213 for example, you could have started by asking @quickstudent Do you remember the formula for calculating the circumference of a circle?

Hero:

You say "you will try" but I know this is not my first time asking you to take the guidance approach to helping students. That particular user would have responded to you because she is not one of those users who post a question and then run away afterwards.

Elsa213:

It's my first time saying I will try though. o;

Hero:

I will hold you to that.

Elsa213:

You will hold me? e.e

Elsa213:

Is that a flirt? <.<

psirockin3:

No. He means he will hold you to that promise. He expects you to ask the asker for input next time and every other subsequent time. Same for everyone else

Elsa213:

@Hero , I did that once and you were like "You shouldn't do it that way because they can guess."

Elsa213:

@Hero >.>
