I know the formula is y=ax+b but I was putting in the number and it kept coming out wrong.
I've always done these pretty much the same way and I usually get the correct answer when I do it this way: 1. Using graph paper and plot all the points on an xy plane 2. Using a ruler or straight edge, connect the first and last points in such a way where you also include as many points between the first and last points as possible. (Including as many points as possible takes precedence over including the first and last points, however get as close to including the first and last points as possible) 3. Draw a line though all the points on the straight edge. 4. Take two points on the line you have just drawn and then use that to create your y = mx + b.
