x - 6(3 + 4) = 33
solve for x
9 + 10
do parentheses first
actually let's try will's suggestion and do the parentheses first what is 3 + 4?
7
good, now what is 6*7?
42
here is a breakdown of what u have to do x-6x7=33
pretty sure the answer for x = 75? idk
bruh u dumb its not right
made a typo, sorry
x - 42 = 33 so add 42 to both sides x - 42 + 42 = ?
@kylieisweird101
sorry |dw:1497894119243:dw|
@anoumous1010 you still there?
|dw:1497894136652:dw|
yah
i dont understand this
hint: A - B + B = A x - 42 + 42 = ? follow the pattern
she wanting u to give her the answer
|dw:1497894347531:dw|
start with x number of toys take away 42 toys put back 42 toys how many toys left?
42
try one more time
you have a pile with "x" toys you take away 42 toys then you put back 42 toys, so how many left?
0 \
nope not 0
LOL
42
not 42, let's try again
i give im not trying
i give up
you start with x take away 42 put back 42, and that gets you back where you started
she dont wanna do it just give in on her
bye
6(3 + 4)=42 Then take the other half of it, 33 42-33=x
0_o
Ok now IM confused xD
I see 33 not 43 0_o
so we have x -6(3+4) = 33 6(3+4) = 6*7 = 42 so x - 42 = 33 when we add 42 to both sides we have x - 42 + 42 = 33 + 42 so x = 33 + 42 x = 75
Huh. Guess I missed a step, I didn't remember the adding to both sides part :|
I probably should have just explained to the OP that if you perform the operation -X + X or X - X you get 0
so x - 42 + 42 = x + 0 = x
Ah I see where I went wrong now, because it's subtraction, I did the Formula for addition!
I'm a idiot sometimes :|
