you are given the formula A = 0.5(base 1 + base 2)h you are also given A = 100, h = 5, and base 2 = 12 so you can plug these into the formula to get 100 = 0.5(base 1 + 12)*5 solve for base 1 please let me know what you get

nope, let's start from the beginning 100 = 0.5(base 1 + 12)*5 divide both sides by 0.5, what do you get?
