the equation for a parabola is: f(x)=a(x-h)2+k you are given the vertex (3,-2). remember that vertex = (h,k) so h = 3 and k = -2 you are also given the data point (4,3) so you can substitute x = 4 and f(x) = 3 into the equation 3 = a(4-3)^2 + 2 solve for a
