cookiemonster:

What is the purpose of text connections?

cookiemonster:

@Elsa213 @pandasurvive

cookiemonster:

also, please asnwer in your own words :)

cookiemonster:

@Vocaloid

cookiemonster:

@Elsa213 ?

Allison:

The Text-to-Text, Text-to-Self, Text-to-World strategy helps students develop the habit of making these connections as they read. When students are given a purpose for their reading, they are able to better comprehend and make meaning of the ideas in the text. That is Googles definition. It basically means making notes to yourself after finding your purpose to read that book/article. Which will help you understand what you're reading more. @ThisGirlPretty Am I right? D:

ThisGirlPretty:

Correct :D, if not then let us speak to the teacher and we will give her a piece of our minds.

Moved to English

Ultrilliam:

Idk either, RIP

Vocaloid:

If the question says "in your own words" they are expecting you to write using ~your~ words

cookiemonster:

Format affects interpretation of a story. In reading a narrative, readers develop their own ideas about the characters and setting. In a dramatic performance, the actors and director apply their own interpretations.

Vocaloid:

You need to be able to read something and then paraphrase it in your own words, you can't rely on people forever

cookiemonster:

please rephrase

Vocaloid:

read the paragraph slowly and carefully. then, cover up the original paragraph and then write what the paragraph was about. I guarantee you the resulting paragraph will be in your own words.

Vocaloid:

well I tried, au revoir

kittybasil:

I think that person was on a time limit... I didn't want to flat-out give them words spoon-fed so I gave links... but I was also pressed for time as you saw :P @Vocaloid

kittybasil:

Still, answer begging irritates me :\
