shortcut method: if we treat the middle part as one giant rectangle we can find the area by multiplying length * width = (6+11+6+11)*8

if we consider that the rectangle has to fold up into a prism, we can see that the height 6 must also be the height of the uppermost rectangle

so the area of the bottom and top rectangles are each 11*6 so your final answer is 2(11*6) + (6+11+6+11)*8 = 404 ft^2 = your answer
