Monty Hall problem (for fun)

Vocaloid:

You are on a game show. The host shows you three doors; one has a car behind it, and the other two have goats. You pick one door, hoping that it will have the car. Then, the host opens one of the other two doors you didn't pick, revealing a goat. You have the option to stay on your door or switch to the un-opened door. Which should you pick, and why?

ThatCreepyBoy:

I would say stay on my door because there could be a possibility that they're tricking you into thinking that car is in the other door :O I knew it! ^-^

Vocaloid:

No tricks, it's all based on chance

ThatCreepyBoy:

@Elsa213 @theDeviliscoming @Ultrilliam @Hero

Vocaloid:

Drawing a diagram/table of all the possibilities will help

ThatCreepyBoy:

Hmm,,

ThatCreepyBoy:

You see I'm not good at riddles XD, what would you do devil?

ThatCreepyBoy:

Idk this :l

Vocaloid:

does it make a bit more sense now?

Vocaloid:

in 1/3 of the cases, you pick the correct door the first time and staying will win in 2/3 of the cases, you pick the wrong door, so the host MUST open the other goat door, thus guaranteeing that switching will win

ThatCreepyBoy:

Yes maams it does :d and sorry I was eating dinner D:

fredo:

What ever door has you behind it
