Asking Questions Etiquette
1. Post the entire question, including diagrams, answer choices, and associated passages. Take a screenshot if the content cannot be copy-pasted. Make sure to check the question after you have posted it to make sure everything has displayed properly. Sometimes equation formatting can be lost (for example, f(x) = x^2 might paste as x2 which is not the same thing). 2. Please wait at least 15 minutes after posting for your question to be answered. Sometimes our users might take a while to see it (they might be at work/school/asleep). If nobody seems to be responding, tag someone and get back to it in a few hours. 3. Do not expect a direct answer. It is against our rules, and against the spirit of education. 4. If something in a helper's explanation is unclear, please notify the helper! They will probably be very happy to clarify something for you. They are not mind-readers. 5. Post your questions as soon as possible, instead of waiting until the last minute and pressuring the helper to answer quickly (writing things like HURRY PLZ DUE TONIGHT is extremely obnoxious). Time management is your job, not ours.
6. If your helper is putting in effort, then you should be too. Don't just randomly guess letters or numbers, please read what the helper has written and think about how you can apply it to your problem.
7. For the love of God, don't get offended when somebody points out mistakes in your math. If you think they're wrong, then make your case with evidence. Otherwise, thank them for their input.
