its #4
Welcome to QC BTW ^_^
thanks

first let's figure out what the bottom side is equal to
dw:1505352865018:dw
if bottom side + 4 = 17 then bottom side = ?
13
good, let's mark that down
dw:1505352934697:dw
now let's look at the right side
dw:1505352948396:dw
if right side + 4 = 9 what is the right side?
5?
good so for perimeter let's add everything up
17 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 13 + 9 = ?
I thought the perimeter of a recangle is length X width
that's area
area = l*width perimeter = sum of sides
Ohh okay ! then 52
awesome for the area we need to break the shape into rectangles
dw:1505353132173:dw
Then is that the 2(l+w)
perimeter = 2(l+w) area = l*w
Okay
for area we will calculate the sum of the areas of both rectangles rectangle 1: 13*9 rectangle 2: 5*4
so the total area: 13*9 + 4*5 = ?
137
good so our answer, including units: perimeter = 52 yd area = 137 y^2
oh my gosh thanks so much!! this really helped
would you like to work through the rest of them?
That whole pdf wasn't my homework, just #4. I don't even know who put that up, it just matched my problem for homework.
ok, good to hear
