How do I find the central idea or thesis in a text?

Try reading the title (doesn't always work) but it will give you an idea of what the text is about ^.^
"Biography of Albert Einstein"
Try looking at pictures in the text & picture captions.
If you are wanting to create a thesis statement, you create a summary and form it to one sentence. Semicolons are very helpful. ;o
okay but where exactly can i find it ? is it in the introduction?
Main Idea = Intro.... possibly
You read the novel or short story, find what you understand from it and BOOM Magic (~ OuO )~o
Most of the time it's in the intro ^.^ if we are talking about a non-narrative/fictional story telling
The thesis can actually be anywhere in the text/story.
The question states "Central Idea or thesis", central idea in my opinion is the MAIN idea. Main Ideas can usually be found in the first paragraph.
ok so lets say its not always in the intro... where can i find it? how do i spot it like what are the steps i should use to find it,,?
The only thing I can tell you is there is no "lazy way" if you want to get an accurate answer to the question... you'll have to read the text.
Some hints that could lead to an "idea" of what the text is about is what I stated in the beginning of this post.
ok thanks
No prob ^.^ have a great day
