1. sunlight is not consistent (depends on weather, location, time of day, air pollution, etc)

2. it's difficult to store and transport (this is the biggest con, this makes it hard to replace traditional fuels)

4. panel installation is expensive (the more power you need, the more/bigger panels you must install)

5. they're not as efficient as other sources of fuel (only about 15-20% of sunlight is converted to electricity)
