nikkixmarie:

this is my last question btw

Vocaloid:

judging by her "estimation" method they want you to keep plugging in values for f(x) and g(x) until you get the same value within one decimal point

Vocaloid:

hm

nikkixmarie:

its so confusing o.o

Vocaloid:

we know the answer must be a little bit above 3, so I guess plug in 3.1 as x for f(x) and g(x)

Vocaloid:

or we could be smart about this and just solve f(x) = g(x)

nikkixmarie:

whatever is the easiest i've been working on this for 3 hours

Vocaloid:

so what I did was plug in 3.1, then 3.2, then 3.3 when I plugged in 3.3 I get 23.9 for both solutions when it was rounded to the nearest 10th

Vocaloid:

so x = 3.3 = your answer
