Use the image below to answer the following question. Find the value of sin x° and cos y°. What relationship do the ratios of sin x° and cos y° share? A right triangle is shown with one leg measuring 15 and another leg measuring 8. The angle across from the leg measuring 8 is marked x degrees and the angle across from the leg measuring 15 is marked y degrees.

Use Pythagorean theorem to determine the hypotenuse Hypotenuse^2 = leg^2 + leg^2
I already have the length of the hypotenuse i just need help finding the value of each angle
Then cos(angle) = adjacent/hypotenuse Sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse
ok hold on
so for the sin i got 8 divided by 17 which is 0.47
and then for the cos i got 4 divided by 17 which gave me 0.17
Be careful It's asking for sin(x) and cos(y)
Your sin is right Check cos again from the perspective of angle y
oh whoops i mean to do 8 divided by 17 which gives me 0.47
Good. So it's 8/17 for both
The "relationship" is that both are equal
so that would be my answer
Yup
awesome thank you!
could you maybe help me with one more question?
Sure I have a bit of time
should i post as another question or on here?
New question please
