Two diary entries that explain how life has changed since the end of the civil war. Your diary entries should be written from two of the following perspectives: an emancipated slave, a former plantation owner or a confederate leader, a scalawag, or a northerner (carpetbagger) who has moved to the south during Reconstruction.
@JustSaiyan
Does it have a required length?
I think 1-2 paragraph
Should I date it like a Diary/Journal Entry?
You got this Saiyan?
We could split it if you want. I am working on the Emancipated slave. I made a timeline for this here: https://questioncove.com/study#//updates/59e4b8bc417c4c57d3c9b000
Yea you can do that.

ok, I will do the plantation owner.
December 6th, 1865. I was distraught when I found out that I could no longer have slaves working my fields. I wish I could have some way of taking care of my farms now that there are no longer slaves. The fact that slavery is abolished is horrible. I feel like we need some sort of work. I am happy for the blacks themselves but my plantation needs workers. Maybe I will do some form of work where they get paid or get a stock in the plantation. December 20th, 1865. It has been about 10 days since sharecropping at this plantation has started. Sharecropping really works for this plantation. I just wish I had gotten a lower rate for these guys, but at least it is legal and they can make a life for themselves. They tend to work really hard for what I give them. Production has actually increased as runaway slaves and more have came back to get some pay and such. I think this was a great idea.
^^ Plantation owner.
Thanks!

December 6th, 1865: Today I was freed from my slavery, but I never felt less safe. Surrounded by angry white people and frustrated slave owners. Not knowing what I was supposed to do. Life is different now. I am not forced into labor, or whipped as an example to others. Surrounded by hostile white folk, I went out to find work. May 9th, 1866: I finally have my own land, but I am forced to rent it from a former slave owner. He mostly keeps to himself, and I keep to myself. To pay the rent, I must give a portion of my grown crops to the land owner. After the riot in Memphis, things seemed to have calmed down. For now. I spend my time keeping the land and going to church.
It is part of a project if you wanna hep with some more
