Please help me A student, wishing to use a calculator to verify the value of Sin 30°,enters the information correctly but gets a display of -.98803162. He knows that the display should be .5, and he knows that his calculator is in good working order (Trig for Idiots, this means he has it in Degree Mode or so he thinks). What do you think is the problem?
I'm thinking the idiot had it in Radian mode
Good to see you :)
Nice to see you too Alli
I think you might be right. .-. I'm not sure though.
@Vocaloid
You mean the answer could actually be he left it in Radian mode?
http://prntscr.com/gz3w7s I dunno x'D
what about .5 degrees to radian?
well crapbaskets
yeah you're right, sin(30 radians) is -.98803162
Wow... Okay then. Thanks Voca for verifying my answer and thanks Alli for helping me test the ideas. You guys rock :)
Good luck c: <3
