zarkam21:

Helpp please for ii.

zarkam21:

Vocaloid:

tfw no vector notation tools in the equation box

Vocaloid:

hold on

Vocaloid:

|dw:1509331176191:dw|

Vocaloid:

so your vector would be V = (x)i (with the little hat symbol) + y(j hat) replace x and y with your x and y coordinates

Vocaloid:

actually it would be g(with the arrow) instead of V sorry

zarkam21:

so it would be 6x+3y

zarkam21:

b=6x+3y

Vocaloid:

g(with the arrow on it) = xî +yĵ

Vocaloid:

replace "x" and "y" with your x-coordinate and y-coordinate and then leave everything else alone

zarkam21:

it that I and j after the x and y??

Vocaloid:

yes, it's i and j with little ^ symbols on them

zarkam21:

and those mean?

zarkam21:

I'm sorry I just want to undersrand the concept because I am preparing for the SAT so want to be aware of everything

Vocaloid:

those are the unit vectors

Vocaloid:

i^ is the vector (1,0) and j^ is the vector (0,1)

Vocaloid:

so when you multiply these vectors by your x-coordinate/y-coordinate you are basically writing your vector as a multiple of i^ and j^

zarkam21:

Vocaloid:

yup good
