Warriorz13:

Moderators and such.

Warriorz13:

@vocaloid @Ultrilliam @Hero

Warriorz13:

I’m tired of the laziness and incompetence of the moderators on here. There have been numerous occasions where a incident has happened between me and someone else and I was given a rediculous punishment while everyone else got a slap on the wrist. Someone tries to start something with me and three people GANG UP on me when I say something back and what happens. I get a chat suspension and everyone else gets a slap on the wrist.

Warriorz13:

Something needs to be done or I’m sorry to say but I will have to find another site.

Arcadiouse:

I could add to the filter bypassing if there was a sent list on the mail. I have sent so many instances to ultri.

Arcadiouse:

But I honestly agree. The constant spam and bypassing that happens while us who follow the rules get punished while those who constantly break the rules get a slap on the wrist. It hurts...

EclipsedStar:

I already talked to jay about getting a report button

EclipsedStar:

I can't speak for all the moderators, but we punish whoever we see going against the rules. I don't let such bypassing go unnoticed when I catch it happening.

Arcadiouse:

Honestly, it isn't the fact of a report button. Its the fact that the rule breakers get a slap on the wrist by the mods. They keep getting away with it just because they bring people or they are a regular. We need someone who isn't scared of being yelled at for suspensions or bans to those who deserve it. Not punish those who aren't breaking rules. I got death threats that weren't a joke from falcon and all he got was a warning... Ok :)

Warriorz13:

Well Ultrilliam needs to understand. He’s about to lose people. More then Falcon will ever bring back.

EclipsedStar:

*sigh* I'll go bring it up to them. Punishments go by our jurisdiction, not all mods act the same way.

Arcadiouse:

The constant spam and bypassing of the filter when mods aren't on and WHEN they are on it happens. We need them to actually be punished instead of a warning.

Warriorz13:

I already tagged mods.

Arcadiouse:

I don't know if you were here like me when the site first started @EclipsedStar but when ultri made the rules it had no disrespect of any member, no spam, no bypassing filter. Those rules are broke everyday. Look at the proof I posted...

Arcadiouse:

@Ultrilliam

Arcadiouse:

It is also sad that I feel like there is no sense in reporting it because nothing is going to happen...

Ultrilliam:

Unfortunately moderating is very difficult, I'm not much of a moderator and try to avoid moderating wherever possible, not to mention i'm always very busy with either school or working on the site. This morning I logged in and got a flood of messages, on pretty much every platform. I Just finished catching up after a hour, and trying to fix things that went wrong with QC. Pretty much everything I do is very stressful when it comes to QC, so trying to fit moderating in there would probably drive me mad. Not to mention take time away that I could be working on QC to improve it for the future. However we also have moderators who do moderate, but can't be on often due to being in college, such as EclipsedStar, Angle, and Tranquility. While I would love to have them on all the time, it is very difficult to have them on all the time or even some of the time due to all the extreme amount of school work they keep being buried under. Then we have the moderators who moderate but have jobs and real life to take care of, and they can't be on all the time. Zarkon, and Hero are good examples of this. Then we have Vocaloid, our first moderator who is continually moderating, but even she is starting to be driven nuts having to do it all by herself. This community is not used to moderating, and even trying to against certain people will cause world war 2 on QC. So I can understand why she is doing that, if infact she is (and I will be investigating this just to be sure). Keep in mind that moderating is based on past actions as well. "So ultrilliam the answer is just add more moderators" WELL IF ONLY IT WERE THAT SIMPLE. We want to have moderators that can be trusted, that we don't have to constantly monitor. We want moderators that we can make a mod, and trust they will be making the correct moves after training. Were not going to make just anyone moderator, this is the same issue OpenStudy had, only Preetha was monitoring the community enough to find good moderator candidates, where as I am. I'm constantly looking, but I need to have enough data to know for a FACT that the moderator I choose is going to be good. I don't want a repeat of OS where someone like Pooja or Miracrown becomes a moderator. TL:DR; I'm sorry if you have had action taken against you and been suspended more then others, and I'm sorry that we can't moderate 24/7, but it's very difficult for moderators, and how you guys react to it all don't make it easier. It's not as simple as just adding more mods, but were certainly trying to keep the place clean and moderated, which in itself is herculean task since everyone refuses to be moderated, and will complain to other people on here, then to others, until eventually the next civil war breaks out.

Warriorz13:

We understand this... but this has been happening since I joined nearly a year ago... not only has it not changed, it’s only gotten worse.

Arcadiouse:

You have people moderate that can be on 24/7 though. I understand where you are coming from. I ran a popular form on reddit and it was tough but how I fixed it was learned to trust some members of the community and made them mod. You don't look at those who keep offending. You look at those who understand your issues and want to help. I know many people here who you can trust and understand where you are coming from. I have a boat load of moderator and owner experience and understand your issues. But your issues are fixable in like a day or two. I like solving issues, I could solve these lol.

Ultrilliam:

That's simply not true, a lot more has actually been happening in terms of moderating, however the community has been getting larger, and consequently harder to moderate. I brought in a moderator who could actually moderate, and was very good, but pretty much everyone shunned him off the site because he was actually doing his job. @Tigerknight @Ewynne

Ultrilliam:

That was directed at @Warriorz13 BTW

Arcadiouse:

Don't look at the negative, look at the positive. When you say you don't have time to moderate, you need to moderate. One mod like @Vocaloid isn't going to do the job when Falcon and his groupies are here and 33 people. I love @Vocaloid but she usually helps and looks at chat. You need more mods who can help and look at chat so it is covered.

Arcadiouse:

I could quote something you said to me about falcon and them. People are going to shun them when they have been getting away with it for 2+ years.

Arcadiouse:

You need to either devote some of your time to moderating or find more mods. Or do both. You never are going to be able to trust someone fully. That is why you make a trail mod or a smaller mod rank and let them earn it. The only way someone is EVER have your trust is if you've been friends a LONG time. Dang, I don't even trust a friend that I've known for 8 years now and we hang out 24/7. It just depends on how quickly you trust.

Arcadiouse:

all this rule breaking is getting out of hand because of the lack of mods. Again, when I have ever been administrator or moderator on any website, game or anything the more mods that were online or actually punished people the less rule breakers we had. Letting people practically get away with stuff isn't doing your job. I understand vocaloid could be getting burnt out but everyone needs to be held to the same standards.

Warriorz13:

I understand what your saying Ultrilliam, but just a heads up, I won’t take to much more of this.

Arcadiouse:

These are problems that are easily fixed. I would love to help but I can't, honestly, I bet a lot of people here would like to help or at least the constant rule breaking to stop...

Ultrilliam:

Perhaps it's finally time... I'll have a talk with the team, and we will decide upon something.

Arcadiouse:

Ok, we would like that. <3

Warriorz13:

Thank you Ultrilliam. I’m not pinning blame on anyone, but this is a long time coming. Several people have already left, never to return because of the ganging and bullying on people, and when they say something it goes unheard.

Vocaloid:

I've read everything over and you've made good points. I haven't made the best decisions as moderator but I will adjust my oderatioj from now on taking this into consideration.

Vocaloid:

*moderation

Warriorz13:

No offense @Vocaloid but I do need to call you out on one thing. I brought up the fact of how everyone else got a slap on the wrist why I was suspended and I tried to Private Message you but you never replied.

Arcadiouse:

Thanks @Vocaloid

Warriorz13:

However, I do thank you all for your cooperation.

Arcadiouse:

See ^^

Warriorz13:

All done within a 3 minutes time period

Arcadiouse:

@Ultrilliam

Vocaloid:

I have real life obligations and I can't be watching the chat 24/7 If somebody points out stuff to me I be half to take care of it

Vocaloid:

*id be glad to take care of it

Arcadiouse:

That is why we are pointing it out haha <3

Warriorz13:

These are just things I catch while me and Arca work on history work. All it takes is for me to open chat and scroll for a couple seconds.

Arcadiouse:

Honestly ^^

Arcadiouse:

@Ultrilliam

Vocaloid:

Personally I don't consider "flunk" to be bypassing the filter but I will ask the others

Arcadiouse:

But the proof I posted is him bypassing by spacing the P word lol

Vocaloid:

I'm in class right now I'll check the chat logs in an hour or so

Arcadiouse:

Ok.

Vocaloid:

Going to ask the mod team about this one too When it comes to bypassing I like to make sure we're all on the same page as to what is bypassing/what isn't before I make decisions

Arcadiouse:

@Ultrilliam @Vocaloid

EclipsedStar:

I'm going to delete the "proof" because we can search what chat messages have been sent, and is unsightly for others to see when the perchance upon this post. Thanks for letting us know. We have been discussing what to do.

Warriorz13:

No offense but everytime someone tries to say something happened I’m always told “Were is the proof” so. Therefore I posted proof.

Elsa213:

Slap dat wrist doe.

Warriorz13:

Elser

Warriorz13:

Just no.

Elsa213:
