Grade 8 math question Jeff and Ruben both contributed to buy a lottery ticket. Jeff spent $3.50 and Ruben added $1.50. If the prize of the ticket is $1000. How much money does each person get based on the ratio of the investment.
First you would determine what fraction of he total each person spends
yes...also we know that the price of the ticket is 5 dollars bcuz they both combined their money to buy the ticket right
Jeff = (3.50)/(1.50+3.50) Ruben = (1.50)/(1.50+3.50)
yes
Then you would simply multiply each person's fraction by the lottery winning to determine their share
so wait le me draw that real quick XD
can u show me im keep mesing this up uhg
Jeff = (3.50/5)*1000 = ?
