so if a movie was made on a cinematic screen with a ratio of 16:9 and the movie was played on a screen of 2.35:1 aspect ratio. are those two ratios equal?

Good so these ratios cannot be equal
so basically if you were to multiply the smaller ratio by 9, the resultant ratio would not be 16:9?

so like 2.35 X 9 doesn't equal to 16
