The doppler effect is the change in the wavelength and frequency of a object producing sound as it moves in one direction, that is heard by someone moving in the same direction from behind, or the opposite direction in front of it. The person from behind would hear the long wavelengths and frequencies, while the person in front will have small wavelengths and higher frequencies.
