Read these lines from the poem “Fern Hill.” And once below a time I lordly had the trees and leaves Trail with daisies and barley Down the rivers of the windfall light. What does the speaker mean when he says he “lordly had the trees and leaves”? He knew all the different plants growing near the farm. He stayed outside as long as the sun was up. He was always hungry for apples. He felt powerful and important.
