@Pixel what is the general formula for the slope intercept form of a line?
y=mx+b
@Hero
Good. So what does b represent?
y-intercept
And what is the y-intercept? Do you know?
You should be able to tell by looking at the graph.
y=1
Very good. So now all you have to do is find the slope.
Remember m = slope = rise/run
0,1 2,0 (-1,2)
-1/2*
You posted quite a bit there. Let me ask again. What is the slope of the line?
Negative One Half
Very good. That is correct. So now, what is the equation of the line in point-slope form?
f(x)=-1/2x+1
@Hero
I'd write it this way just to be safe \(y = -\dfrac{1}{2}x + 1\) or if you want to write it horizontally, use parentheses y = -(1/2)x + 1
