So for a number to be rational, it must either terminate (as in have an end) OR have a *consistent* "phrase" or "period" that repeats forever for example 2.25 terminates, so it is rational 2.121212121212.... has the phrase "12" repeating forever, so it is rational BUT for this problem, what would we say is the "repeating phrase"?? can you think of ONE phrase of numbers that will repeat itself for this decimal?
