Rainluke01:

can i get some help please

Shadow:

What is your question?

Rainluke01:

Rainluke01:

Can you help or no

Shadow:

Do you remember Newton's Third Law?

Rainluke01:

for evey action there is an equal and opposite reaction

Shadow:

Correct, so if I were to push down on a table with 5 N of force, what force would be applied to me?

Rainluke01:

5n

Shadow:

Correct, 5 N upward. If the table did not exert this force, it would break. Looking back at our question. If a baseball exerts a force of 5N forward on a ball, what force is the force of the ball on the bat?

Rainluke01:

5n

Shadow:

Yes. It seems you understand the "equal" part, but remember that it's opposite direction. So if the force applied from bat to ball, is forward, then from ball to bat, it is backward.

Rainluke01:

ok thank you

Shadow:

No problem
