@Vocaloid

Vocaloid:

for the vertical stretch you would multiply the entire thing by 2 and then for the vertical translation to the right you would change x to (x-5) since this is a translation to the right by 5

Vocaloid:

for the translation up on 7b you would add 3 to the entire function after applying the vertical compression of 1/2

@Vocaloid can you help with the equations?

Pixel:

sorry i lost this paper ;(

Pixel:

so i have to do it again

Vocaloid:

f(x) = 4x multiply the entire function by 2 then replace "x" with "x-5"

Pixel:

f(x)=8x-5

Vocaloid:

good but be careful with the notation g(x) = 8(x-5)

Vocaloid:

for h(x) = 10x multiply the entire thing by (1/2) then add + 3 to the end

Pixel:

g(x)= 5(x+3)

Vocaloid:

ah in this case since the + 3 is a vertical transformation it's just 5x + 3

Vocaloid:

for horizontal transformations you typically need to add parentheses around the x to make it clear that you are only modifying x for vertical transformations you modify the entire function not just x, hence the lack of parentheses
